Dapeng ancient city locates the eastern Dapeng peninsula part of Shenzhen city, guarding the pear river estuary, which was built from Ming dynasty(BC year of 1394) and covered about 0.11 million square meters as a part of important military defence of sea in south of China at that time. With 600 years of resisting foreign aggression, it came out lots of famous national heroes such as Sijue Lai, Qilong lau, Heizai Lau and so on. Nowadays, it becomes the key culture relic protection site and the patriotism education base.
On the purpose of improving the team spirit, enhancing the team cohesiveness, and learning the culture of Ming Dynasty and the experiences of patriotism, ROPE family pay a visit to the Dapeng peninsula especially the Dapeng ancient city, Dapeng museum, and Dongshan Temple in 14th May, 2016.
We were staying in the small inns beside sea shore, a kind of homestay built for the tourists. From the windows or maybe rooftop if you casually sat in a chair and gazing out to the sea till the end, you couldn’t tell where the heaven stopped and the sea began. When the sun went to bed down on the bayou, there was a million sparkles on the water, we could only describe it in two words—“so beautiful”.
At night, we held a barbecue party on one of the rooftop, colleagues were drinking, gossiping, dancing, playing games, enjoyed and relaxed.
On the second day, we toured around the Dapeng ancient city and Dongshan Temple. Stepping on the dark green cobble road in the zigzag alley in ancient city, you could feel the transient of time and vicissitude of history. In the temple, it would involuntarily come out the respect to the Lord Buddha from the recesses of inner mind when the Buddhism painting caught you eyesight.
ROPE family enjoyed and learned much not only the culture of ancient China but also the team work during the tourism. We all anticipate next time would have more such activities and sincerely hope ROPE will grow stronger day by day.
